I’m stranded due to snow in Manchester. Rumour is that the airport has run out of runway de-icing fluid. I suppose that doesn’t matter, because I’ve also heard that at Heathrow Terminal 5, they’ve run out of staff to man gates, because everyone is running up and down runways doing de-icing.
Isn’t it interesting how these bits of passenger information percolate through queues of frustrated people? I was tempted to make something up and just see how long it took to get from one end of the airport to the other.
Then I remembered its Christmas, and Santa always knows when you misbehave.
Anyway, it has been a fantastic 2009 in so many respects, and I wanted to thank you all so much for your continued readership. There is rarely a day that goes by when I don’t wonder what I’d be doing today if I hadn’t started writing here. There are so many opportunities I’ve only had because of you who read here.
So thank you again.
I’m off on holidays for the next week over Christmas, but will be back to post the traditional 2010 predictions just before New Year… I don’t suppose anyone with a blog fails to do that any more.
And then I’m back to my ordinary schedule when I return to the office on January 4.
So Merry Christmas everyone, and have a wonderful holiday season.
